Foundation

The California Tax Foundation is dedicated to promoting sound tax policy and government efficiency through education and research. Founded in 1980 by the California Taxpayers Association, the Foundation has won several national research awards, and is recognized for its research excellence. The CalTax Foundation is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization funded through grants and generous donations from taxpayers. While established by the California Taxpayers Association, it is a separate entity. It does not take positions on ballot measures or legislation, and does not endorse, support, or oppose any political parties or candidates for public office.
